My first ever Project Pan ::: FINISH 17 BY 2017

I am a makeup hoarder and I experiment with a lot of products. Parallelly, i do try to finish up my products. Skincare is easy to get done with as I use them regularly without fail. However, I don’t wear makeup every day and that makes it quite difficult to finish makeup products. I see Project Pan photos all the time on Instagram and it feels like it is a great motivation in producing more empties. I personally feel very hesitant to commit to any hard-and-fast challenge/project! There is a first time for everything though and I think I am going to act brave and participate in “Finish 17 by 2017Project Pan. I don’t even know if it is a real thing and I may have misunderstood it to be “Finish 17 in 2017”. But basically, I am going to do my best in using up 17 products from my collection during 2017. I am not sure if I will have intermediate updates but I will definitely have final update in the month of December, 2017. You know, if life still treats me nicely :-)

I buy a lot of value sets and most often I end up having a lot of travel size or deluxe size products. I think I have 6 full-size products here and rest are mostly travel size. I am sure that it is accepted for the project, ha ha! Also, I am counting 2 deluxe-size products that are similar as one for the challenge! I think it will give me more room to be flexible and use them in rotation without getting bored. Here is to hoping! Let’s check out the products here -

Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer: It is the first ever primer I tried and I am almost halfway through it. I do like it and enjoy it. I am not sure if I will repurchase but I really like how it works with my dry skin to give me a better surface to apply my foundation. Fingers crossed, I should be able to finish it!
Becca Backlight Priming Filter: I really ENJOY this. It is a great glowing type of primer and I have made quite a progress on it. I am hoping I can finish it and if I do, I can replace it with the other same-size tube I have.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in “True Beige”: This is the first liquid foundation I bought and I was happy that I picked up the right shade in my first trial. It is very difficult to guess how much I have already used but I am assuming I have about 1/3rd left. I have 2-3 other foundations now so I am not sure how often I am going to use it but I will try.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC cream in “Tan”: I did not really enjoy it the first two trials but I have been using it last 2-3 days and I do like it. I guess the shade and the formula suits me better in these colder days. There is not much product here so I am combining this as one item with my Revlon Foundation.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in: This is ONLY concealer in my collection now and I don’t feel any need for trying out a different one. I am sure I am going to repurchase. It’s almost gone and I am excited to see if I can really use it all up!

Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Bronzing Beauty Balm: It is a deluxe sample I got in a set last year and I do use it quite regularly. I mix with my foundation to alter the shade or to use it on the perimeter of the face. I do really like it. it is such a small tube but I just can’t seem to make any recognizable progress on this. Let’s see how it behaves in 2017.

Tarte Contouring Face Slender in “Park Avenue Princess”: It is a small product, and I use it quite often as a face slenderizer with a bit of bronzing effect. I do like it but not a huge fan and I don’t see myself repurchasing. I am not 100% sure that I will be able to finish it but I will try.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: I am not very regular about using setting spray. I have dry skin and in the colder climate here I don’t really feel the need to wear any setting spray. I still do think I can use it up if I put in an effort. It’s not a big bottle.

Lorac Travel-size TANtalizer Highlighter & Bronzer Duo: I am only including the bronzer in this project. It’s very warm, pigmented and blendable. I love it and have hit pan already. I am looking forward to using it up!

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in “Medium/Deep”: I used the hell out of it in the first half of the year. I love that it is matte. There is not much left here but I am getting a bit bored with it so we shall see if I get around to using it enough to finish it up.

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in “Pink Escape”: Another product that I am using very less these days. Depending on the condition of the health of my cheek area, I tend to have a love-hate relationship with this blush. But I have already hit pan on it and it will be very rewarding to finish it up. I mostly use it as a base layer over my other less pigmented blushes to layer.

MAC Paint Point in “Layin’ Low”: This is actually one of the few product from this set that I use almost every time I wear eyeshadow. I absolutely love it. I have shared this with my sister, so I have to give her credit for about 20% of the usage you see. But that apart I am extremely hopeful that this will be completely used up! And I can surely assume I will repurchase when I do finish up.

Tarte EmphaseEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in “Bronze”: This is one of my very favorite product from my entire collection. I use it as a one-and-done shade but never as a liner. I love the shade, and I love how simple and easy it is and how long it lasts on me. I used it very, very regularly since I had it but I have not been really grabbing it past couple of months. I thought putting this in the challenge will help me get back that in my rotation. I don’t think I am going to finish as there is still a lot of product left in it. But I will still love to see a progress on this. I am not sure if this formula is discontinued.

Lakme Eyeliner Kajol in “20 Midnight Black”: Without doubt it is the most frustrating product from this bunch. I have been trying very hard to use it as much as I can but I just don’t see any progress. It is a product from India and it reminds me of my teenage years because it was one of the products that I used it wear all the time. Old is gold, you know :-) If I am not able to finish it I will have to trash it!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in “Medium Brown”: I have been using it for quite some time. But I don’t use it every day, so it takes me a long time to use it up. But it looks like there is very little left. I am very sure that I will easily finish it :-)

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in “Rupture”: I got this mini deluxe size in some kind of Gift with Purchase from either Sephora or Ulta. This formula has now been discontinued. I really love the formula and the shade is extremely wearable for a simple work day. It was a tiny sample to begin with but there is very little left. I am pretty sure it will be completely used up during the first 2-3 months of 2017. But I am still keeping it in my challenge just so it can serve as an encouragement for me!

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipgloss in “Pout”: It is one of the very few lip-glosses that I regularly use and it is a full-size product. I love the formula. However, I am not going to be overambitious and say that I will finish it completely but a girl can definitely try, right?

Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil: I have started using this since late last year or was it early Spring this year; I don’t exactly remember. I have no idea if it is helping my cuticle health but I do feel its absence when I don’t use it. My toe-nails sometimes start to pain especially around the cuticles area. Especially if I am walking a lot or if it’s too cold! I apply this once or twice a day and it takes away the pain. I think I will go through it fairly easily :-)

Victoria’s Secrets Eau de Parfum in “Noir Tease” & “Angel”: These two are completely full. I bought this in a set when I just started getting crazy about beauty blogging :-) My choice of perfumes has definitely matured. But I will try to finish these. I typically wear these when I am at home or when I have very short activity like simple grocery shopping. I still use my regular perfumes so these will be actually secondary perfumes.

These are all my products that I am trying to pan next year and I am hoping I am successful in the very first Project Pan. Please wish me luck guys! Also, join me! Even if you just a few products you are trying to pan, do share with me :-)

Love,

~Arrru
